Best to plan to move over to a new design system see below for more detail&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key reasons for the discontinuation include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Redundancy:<\/strong>&nbsp;Most tasks (templates, flyers, brochures) are now handled by Word and PowerPoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Modernisation &amp; Cloud Shift:<\/strong>&nbsp;Microsoft is focusing on AI-powered design tools (Microsoft Designer) and cloud-native applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aging Codebase:<\/strong>&nbsp;As a legacy app, maintaining and updating Publisher\u2019s architecture is less efficient compared to modernising other apps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After&nbsp;<strong>October 13, 2026<\/strong>, Microsoft 365 subscribers will no longer have access to Publisher, and on-premises versions will cease to be supported.
